Most of you will agree that Italy is a beautiful and very friendly country. It does however have, as we all know, its share of challenges. One of these is bureaucracy: whatever you need to do, be it getting a phone or ADSL line connected, obtaining planning permission for your property, requesting residency or basically anything that involves Italian authorities and organizations, you will need to stand in line, make hundreds of phone calls, or fill out endless forms......all in Italian of course.
Dealing with these (local) Italian authorities, utility providers or banks can be a stressful business. To speak the language is essential to get anything done; many Italians do not speak English and will very patiently wait while trying to understand what you need, but it is not uncommon that you get B, C or D when asking for A.
Other than language, another important aspect is knowing how things work in Italy, as usually there is a considerable gap between what you're used to and how things are done here.

Your Italian Connection's motto is flexibility: it is not possible to offer a complete list of the services offered, nor is it possible to give you exact rates here on the website, as these differ from case to case; you might need to have water delivered to fill up your pool, you might need to have your old car towed and demolished, or maybe you need a permit to have a well made, it's all possible!

My name is Pauline Ninck Blok, I am of Dutch nationality, I received an English primary education and have been living in Italy for 10 years now, after successfully completing a Master's degree in Italian Language and Literature. A few years ago I obtained a diploma as a TEFL-teacher and am also a qualified real estate agent, with 9 years experience in the real estate-sector. I also work as a freelance translator for various companies, amongst which, OneHourTranslation and MyGengo.
